1. Agreement
These Terms of Use apply to the Derevio beta service, including derevio.com, app.derevio.com, and related services. By using Derevio, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service. The final legal operator details will be added when the registration arrangements are complete.
2. Beta service
Derevio is currently provided as a beta service to support testing and feedback. Features may be incomplete, changed, interrupted, or removed. Beta access may be limited or withdrawn, and information entered during beta should not be treated as guaranteed to remain available indefinitely. Keep your own copy of important CVs, notes, and career materials.
3. The Derevio service
Derevio helps you organise career information, explore possible directions, understand skill gaps, create personalised roadmaps, prepare for interviews, and plan weekly actions. Features may vary by plan, location, account status, product stage, and configuration.
Derevio is a guidance and planning product. It does not promise a job, interview, promotion, salary increase, qualification, visa outcome, or any particular career result.
4. Eligibility and accounts
You must provide accurate information and keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and must tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You may not share an account where sharing would bypass a plan, security control, or usage limit.
5. Your profile, CV, and other content
You retain ownership of the profile information, CV content, answers, notes, and other material you submit (your "User Content"). You give Derevio a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, process, and display User Content only as needed to operate, secure, support, and improve the service, or as otherwise described in the Privacy Policy.
You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload User Content and that it does not knowingly violate another person’s rights, contain malware, or breach a confidentiality obligation. Do not upload another person’s CV or sensitive information unless you are authorised to do so.
6. Recommendations and AI-assisted output
Role matches, explanations, skill gaps, roadmaps, weekly plans, coaching responses, and interview content may be generated or assisted by automated systems. They can be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You are responsible for checking important information, deciding whether to follow a recommendation, and obtaining professional advice where appropriate.
Do not treat Derevio’s output as legal, financial, medical, immigration, recruitment, or employment advice. We do not make final hiring decisions for employers or act as your recruiter.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Derevio unlawfully, fraudulently, abusively, or to infringe another person’s rights;
- probe, scan, reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or attempt to bypass the service or its security;
- use automated extraction or scraping without written permission;
- upload malware, confidential material you are not authorised to share, or content intended to manipulate or harm others; or
- resell, sublicense, or provide access to Derevio as a service unless we have agreed in writing.
8. Plans, payments, and third parties
Some features may require a paid plan. Prices, billing intervals, feature limits, renewal, cancellation, refunds, taxes, and payment processing terms will be shown before purchase and may be supplemented by the payment provider’s terms. If you subscribe, you authorise the configured payment provider to process the payment method you provide.
Derevio may link to or rely on third-party services, including authentication, email, hosting, payment, and AI providers. Those services may have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services that we do not control.
9. Intellectual property
Derevio and its software, design, branding, text, catalogues, and other materials are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable law. We give you a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for personal or authorised internal purposes while your account is in good standing. This does not transfer ownership to you.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, limits, providers, or parts of the service. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or permanent availability. We may perform maintenance, security updates, or emergency changes without advance notice.
11. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Derevio at any time and may request account deletion as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these terms, create risk for users or the service, fail to pay a required charge, or where we are legally required to do so. Sections that should reasonably survive termination will continue to apply.
12. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Derevio is provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis, without warranties that the service or its recommendations will be accurate, complete, suitable, secure, or uninterrupted. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or applicable consumer rights.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or loss-of-opportunity damages arising from your use of the service. Any additional liability cap should be reviewed and set by counsel for the jurisdiction that applies to the business.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, and the courts of the United Kingdom will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Derevio changes. We will publish the new version and update the effective date. Where required, we will provide additional notice for material changes. Continued use after the updated terms take effect means you accept them.
